1. High strength and lightweight design
The yield strength of 2205 stainless steel is more than twice that of ordinary austenitic stainless steel (such as 316L), which allows it to reduce the wall thickness (reduced by 30%-50%) when designing equipment such as storage tanks and pressure vessels, thereby reducing material costs.

High strength and good impact toughness make it suitable for high-pressure pipelines, chemical equipment and other occasions that need to withstand large mechanical stress.

2. Excellent corrosion resistance

In chloride ion environment	2205 stainless steel shows excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, which is much better than ordinary austenitic stainless steel (such as 304, 316L).
